TV3’s award winning crime documentary ‘24 hours to Kill’ are currently looking to fill a wide variety of extra roles.The following are needed:

Alonze Productions are producing an advertisement for the book ‘Children of the Fae’. This a fantasy novel with 4 children roles and 4 adult roles.The characters include:

$104 million Brian Boru biopic set to be filmed in Ireland in 2014

An upcoming biopic of Brian Boru will be the biggest movie ever made in Ireland.The $104m budget film, which is to begin filming in the country next year, has been hailed as "a massive coup for the Department of Arts and the Irish film industry," reports the Irish Independent.Scenes will be filmed at a number of landmark locations such as the Cliffs of Moher. It is hoped the depiction of Ireland's natural landscapes will "showcase" Ireland to the rest of the world and boost tourism.

We are delighted to confirm that both Jorell Coiffic-Kamall and Desrinea Ramus return to conduct these energetic sessions that will cover many styles of Street Dance. Jorrell Coiffic-Kamall blends hip-hop and street dance techniques with song and humour. Both Jorell and Desrinea are founding members of the group Y@P (youth at Pineapple).  Jorell is trained in and has taught dance styles such as Street Dance, Popping, Locking, Breaking, Flipping.

Extra's Required for ‘Love, Rosie’ – based on Cecelia Ahern’s

Irish romantic comedy ‘Love, Rosie’ – based on Cecelia Ahern’s 2004 novel ‘Where Rainbows End’ – will start shooting in Dublin from May to July, with extras wanted aged 17-25 years and older.Directed by Christian Ditter, the film will star Lily Collins and Sam Cleflin in the main roles of two Irish best friends Rosie and Alex, whose plans to go to college together in the US get complicated by Rosie's unexpected pregnancy.Although Alex is not the child’s father, the pair stay in touch over the next 12 years by letters and emails as their lives change and destinies unfold.

Film casting for young boy age 6/7

Park Films are looking for young actor to audition for a lead part in a Ghost film that will shoot from June 10th 2013 in Dublin for five weeks.  The part they are casting is a little boy who is 5 years old in the film – however they are going to need a small 6 or 7 year old.  This is a lead role so the young actor must be outgoing in personality, articulate and be well able to take direction.

Return Of The Pack: ‘Love/Hate’

Since joining the cast of Love/Hate for series one, Westside Student Dylan continues to play Nidge’s son Warren and is now busy shooting series 4

Filming began earlier this month in the greater Dublin area, with all crew from the previous three seasons also making a welcome return to the set.Fresh from their IFTA Awards sweep at the beginning of February, director David Caffrey, writer Stuart Carolan, series producers Suzanne McAuley and Steve Matthews, and cast Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Killian Scott, Peter Coonan, Aoibhinn McGinnity, Charlie Murphy and Laurence Kinlan, are all currently filming scenes in various locations around the city.

Currently shooting at Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin, ‘Reign’ charts the rise to power of Mary Queen of Scots in the 16th century when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old and is betrothed to Prince Francis against a backdrop of ‘sexual intrigue’.The TV movie is a US/Irish co-production between CBS Studios, World 2000 Entertainment and Octagon Films and is to be distributed by the CW Network.Directed by directed by Brad Silberling, the project is described as a ‘fantastical reimagining of the teenage Mary Queen of Scots’ and pitched as ‘Game of Thrones’ meets Sofia Coppola’s ‘Marie Antoinette’, according to industry reports.Australian actress Adelaide Kane played Lolly on Neighbours and will next be seen in horror film ‘The Devil's Rapture’ and ‘After the Fall’ starring David Duchovny.The young cast of ‘Reign’ includes Anna Popplewell (The Chronicles of Narnia); Caitlin Stasey (Tomorrow, When the War Began); Megan Follows (I am Number Four); and Toby Regbo (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1).As an historical figure, Mary Queen of Scots is also the subject of a big screen adaptation currently in development with Working Title Films for release in 2014 with Saoirse Ronan set to star and Michael Hirst (The Tudors, Elizabeth) writing the screenplay.

Delighted to have Byran Husband teaching our Musical Theatre Examination Classes and we look forward to his return to work with The WestSide Company during our second term. In 1998, he was appointed Head of Singing at Guildford School of Acting, relinquishing this post in 2004. Since then, Bryan has accepted invitations to become Visiting Tutor in Singing at Mountview Academy and Trinity College of Music, both in London, and at Woking College, Surrey.

Their aim is to help provide training and support for young performers, both as an artist and an individual, so they can flourish in a challenging and competitive world.

Young Irish actress Lauryn Canny has been cast as Juliette Binoche’s daughter Steph.
U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr and Irish actress Maria Doyle Kennedy (Downtown Abbey) have joined the cast of Erik Poppe’s ‘A Thousand Times Good Night’, which began shooting in Dublin last week.They join a previously announced cast that includes French actress Juliette Binoche and Danish ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Young Irish actress Lauryn Canny has also been cast as Binoche’s daughter Steph.The role is the second acting job for U2 drummer Mullen, whose first film role was in Irish director Mary McGuckian’s ‘Man on the Train’ with Donald Sutherland in 2011.‘A Thousand Times Good Night’ is inspired by Poppe’s own experiences as a war photographer. It tells the story of a photographer, Rebekka, who is torn between the job and the family she loves.Binoche and Coster-Waldau play the photographer and her husband, while Mullen Jr and Kennedy play their best friends in the drama, which will move to Morrocco following a five-week shoot in Dublin.‘A Thousand Times Goodnight’ has been written by Harald Rosenløw Eeg and is a co-production between Ireland’s Newgrange Pictures, Paradox in Norway and Zentropa International Sweden.Jackie Larkin and Lesley McKimm will produce for Newgrange alongside Norwegian-based Finn Gjerdrum and Stein Kave for Paradox.The feature’s budget is reportedly around €5m with the project having been offered €300,000 from the Irish Film Board in the last round of funding.  Children from Westside Stage School Donate Christmas Song to Chernobyl Children International ‘Give Joy’ Campaign. Liz Madden, well-known Irish singer, along with children from the Westside Stage School in Dublin have donated a Christmas Song in aid of Adi Roche’s Chernobyl Children International (CCI) ‘Give Joy’ Gift Campaign.   
 This year, the charity’s Gift Campaign has some unique and inspirational gifts to choose from, all of which will help thousands more children and families receive medical and nursing care, life-saving child cardiac surgeries, community and hospice care and de-institutionalisation programmes for children and young adults throughout the Chernobyl regions.

WestSide Student Cast in Leading Roll

As we head to The Helix, we send best wishes to WestSide Student Lauryn Canny who has just been cast to play the daughter of Actress Juliette Binoche in ‘A Thousand Times Goodnight’, which is currently shooting in Dublin before moving on to Morocco. The Bank Holiday Weekend will see Lucan’s WestSide Stage School’s ambitious production ofFinding Wonderland, a three-night showcase for the students of the Lucan-based school to parade their teachings and delight a crowd of friends and family.Finding Wonderlandincorporates classic and contemporary dance, disco, soul, hip-hop and pop music, as well as acting into an ambitious two-and-a-half hour set. Split into two acts, the show’s first half is an all singing, all dancing affair, featuring performances from each of the school’s age groups.

Emer is originally from Ireland, trained in USA before moving to the UK where she has been working as a Dancer, Choreographer and Teacher for the last 7 years.  She worked with the remarkable Kelly Rowland for 2 years – both as a Dancer and Choreographer, performing around the world. She was the Choreographer for the BBC’s The Voice working with the Contestants aswell as Will.i.am, Jessie J, Tom Jones and The Script’s Danny O Donoghue.

They will be making demo’s once candidates are selected and intend to go into production in the summer of 2012. Therefore anyone wanting to put themselves forward should be able to make a commitment for quite a lengthy period of time as this project will be ongoing.
