We are really keen to meet with as many boys as possible. We
want to spread the word that we are not simply looking at boys who have done
lots and lots of dance – we are keen to meet with fresh, raw boys who have lots
of potential.
As well as looking for dancing boys for the role of Billy
we will also be looking for boys for Michael. This role requires a lot
less dance and really we are looking for a kid with a big personality who can
make us laugh. As part of their on-going audition process, Working Title and
Old Vic Productions are looking for boys aged 9 to 13 yearsto audition for the roles of Billy and Michael in the west
end production of Billy Elliot BOYS SHOULD BE A MAXIMUM OF 5 FT WITH NO BROKEN VOICES.
TAP & BALLET EXPERIENCE IS A BONUS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.

They MUST be under 5ft and have an unbroken voice. No dance experience required - though it is a bonus! Debbie Must be 9 - 12 years of age, under 4ft 8. MUST be from the NE of England. Small Boys Description: Ensemble role. We will look at boys aged 6 to 10 years no taller than 4ft. Acting role - no singing or dancing required Tall Boy We will look at boys aged 10 to 12 years no taller than 4ft 10 Acting role - no singing or dancing required Ballet Girls Girls should be between 9 and 13 years of age, under 5ft and have achieved a minimum of grade 4 in tap & ballet. Next contract dates: Provisional dates: Rehearsal start approx. mid March – mid May 2012 Performances: Approx. mid May 2012 – mid Nov 2012 Those auditioning for Small Boy, Tall Boy and Ballet Girls must live within an hour of London and no holidays will be permitted while under contract.
